Life at Home

Landon has been home for one week now. It is so wonderful to have him here with us all the time! It is a lot of work, but he is well worth it. He is nursing better every day, and on several occasions he has taken a full feeding from me. We have rented a scale from the hospital which we use to weigh him before and after breastfeeding to document exactly how much he is transferring. He had an appointment with the Pediatrician on Monday and she told us what we already knew, "He's perfect." :-) He may need some protection (shots) from RSV which is a flu virus that can be potentially fatal to preemies. They think that he may be on the border for those because of his age and size, but we want to be on the safe side, as it is still cold and flu season. We have another appointment next Monday. He has been gaining weight at a rate of almost two ounces a day, as is evident by his newly "chubbifiyed" cheeks! He is 6 pounds, 10 ounces as of today.
